Helen begins a passionate affair with a man unaware of her secret identity. Honestly, I stopped to watch/listen to Ben Whishaw read a restaurant menu or the minutes of a local council meeting, so I was really looking forward to checking it out. There are some excellent supporting cast in Black Doves and this alone, and if you like dark humour, you should check this series out. Ella Lily Hyland as Williams and Gabrielle Creevy as Eleanor are mesmerizing in these roles of my two favorite characters. As for Kathryn Hunter as Lenny Lines, let’s just say her performance is excellent. Add to that some gorgeous scenery and theatrical staging, and for me this is an absolute winner.
