Anderson’s Great Schools of Dune trilogy
Story
Two Harkonnen sisters battle forces that threaten the future of humanity and establish the legendary sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what sci-fi is all about. This series uses material from Brian Herbert and Kevin J.

A prequel to the original Dune, it tells how the Rossak Sisterhood evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valya Harkonnen using the voice is from one called ‘Mentats of Dune’. The three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Suk Doctors.
There is no depth, the conversations are sometimes quite cheesy
I knew it couldn’t be the same quality as the movies, but I didn’t expect it to be so… mediocre. For a second I thought it was an Amazon production, not HBO.
Also, in some scenes I wonder why they bothered to do them
For some roles the right actors were not chosen; not because the actors are bad, but because they are not right for the role. There is too much going on in the first episode and they jump from one scene to the next as if they were in a rush. There are no real special effects, it looks a bit low budget.
I really hope it gets better
I am not sure what camera they used, but the shots look too simple.
