This animated anthology series features original stories set in iconic video game worlds. Video games have made a huge leap to the screen, and we’re celebrating the genre with a closer look at over 50 video game adaptations to movies and shows. Clive Standen reprises his voice role as Demetrius Titus, the protagonist of the video game Space Marine 2. The episode takes place after the events of the game.. Refers to Film Junk Podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024). Expanding the video game medium with talented fan-made content on a shoestring budget seems like a fantastic idea, but ladies and gentlemen, it is! The first 8 episodes are great, each one capturing the universe they chose to inhabit. I’ve seen critics say they took no chances with the show. Have you seen an episode of Pac-Man? Because I did, and it feels like they took a big chance there. The presentation is amazing, every graphic style seems to have been well chosen and mastered (as we’ve come to expect from Death in Love and Team Robots), and this bodes well for the future, allowing the video game medium to expand even further. Every detail is pointing me in the direction I’m screaming at, and it’s full of Easter eggs. This is the first time that people who truly love games have taken the opportunity to expand the medium and make us fans happy. But the beauty is that even people who have never played the game can enjoy the characters, understand them, and empathize with them, and that seems like a huge challenge they’ve overcome. This show clearly has its flaws, some episodes weren’t as great as others (I’m looking at you). Yes, some episodes were short, yes, some jokes were a little lacking, I never said it was perfect, it was amazing..
