The UK allowed filming in the Foreign Secretary’s office, a rare honour
Story
In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, finds herself in a high-profile job for which she is ill-suited and which has tectonic implications for her marriage and political future. The producers convinced the US and UK governments to allow them to use real sets as filming locations for the series, including the newly opened US Embassy (at Nine Elms), which opened in 2018.
for a film or film production, especially an American one
The only location not available was Winfield House, the actual residence of the US ambassador. Although it is accurately described as the largest residential plot in London (11 hectares) after Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming.

It was so good that I watched all 8 episodes on repeat and started yelling at the TV in frustration when the last one ended. I would have liked to have watched 8 more episodes.
It’s original, clever and really, really well made
One of those rare gems where every quality cast has a well-developed personality where every twist, even the most complex, can be followed. ~~~~ That’s all I’m saying, but apparently I have to write 600 characters, which seems like a lot this late at night, especially after 8 hours straight of great TV when I really want to go to bed. .
